Shannon Jones is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, mental health nutrition educator and inspirational speaker whose work bridges nutritional science, lived experience and whole-person well-being.
She brings more than a decade of leadership at the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food and Nutrition Service, including work overseeing school nutrition programs, guiding state partners, strengthening program integrity and supporting large-scale nutrition initiatives.
Her decision to become a dietitian was inspired by her family's experiences with depression, an eating disorder, alcohol addiction and chronic disease. Later, witnessing her mother's long journey with dementia and cognitive decline deepened Shannon's commitment to understanding the intersections of metabolic health, nutrition and brain well-being.
Now she draws on her public health leadership and mental health nutrition work to inspire practical change through talks on the gut-brain connection, nutritional psychiatry, mindfulness, resilience and sustainable habits.
“Our experiences may shape our story, but they don't have to limit our purpose.”
